Music Submissions

Indiedrive Inc is more of a distributor than a record label, but with that being said we do step into the "label" role in order to help independent bands with full-scale retail Indiedrive releases. Our goal is to release around 5 retail Indiedrives a year, and to do around 15 co-op releases a year. We are not afraid to put our time, money, and energy behind a band or artist who really catches our eyes. (and/or ears)

We can't release Indiedrive albums with everyone who sends in their music - and for that we apologize. It would truly be awesome if we could do that... but we can't. If you submit your music to us, please consider the following criteria.

Is your music well produced? Because we are NOT a full-blown label, we do not fund the recording of new albums - we simply compile and create new digital albums from existing material. This means that the music you have, or will have available for release will have to be of high production quality. In some cases we WILL work with people on the recording/production side, but these opportunities are few.

Are you actively gigging? If you are playing one show a month, don't even bother sending in your music. It doesn't matter how good your music is if you aren't out playing shows to support it.

Are you creative? Ya, we know - you're a musician - of course you're creative. BUT, are you creatively marketing yourself and your music? Indiedrives are cool little products, but if you don't "get it" when it comes to the marketing it takes to release an album into this virtually untapped market, you will be wasting your time. That being said, we have an awesome staff of designers, promoters, and marketing people ready to help create your album. But please, for the love of God, make sure you understand the concept.

Ok... that isn't so bad is it? We respect each and every submission and treat your music as a personal creation. We listen to everything we receive. EVERYTHING. And most of the time we reply... (I say most of the time because we do get busy and occasionally forget to contact people)

So if you're still determined to work with Indiedrive after all our rediculous demands - here's what to do. Send CD's (ya, we know you still use 'em) to:

Indiedrive, Inc. 3048 Pine Tree Ln Shakopee MN 55379

Please don't send anything that explodes or infects. :)

You can submit your music digitally by using yousendit.com, or you can simply include links to your music in your email. Email us using the address below with submissions - please DO NOT send submissions to individual emails, as they will not be accepted. (it's a spam thing)
